I believe you. I think your negative feelings if the Republican electorate is shared by a lot of Desantis supporters.

Personally, I think higher of the Republican electorate.

What do you think about them choosing McCain in 08 and Romney in 12? Smart choices?

Here’s you making shite up just like I say you do. Here’s what I posted - Yes, broadly speaking the Republican electorate consistently elects politicians that prove either ineffective or more liberal than advertised.

To a post that I quoted saying

The left has masterfully baited the idiot Republican base

Go ahead and clarify what you were trying to say David. What was your point? I thought the quote about the idiot Republican base was objectionable but common for Desantis supporters.

What are you trying to say on that topic?

And that’s fine but simply based on the bell curve I’d say I’m right. Doesn’t mean I, or anyone else despises the el rotate based on that but in general the voting public is not intelligent.

People like Loomer and anyone else that repeats this type of thing shouldn't be taken seriously. They're dragging this party away from reality and into fantasy.

The Republican party is moving towards being as crazed as the Democrats.

I literally said I was one of them because I have money to Romney in 2012. We all make bad choices. 08 and 12 are two prime examples of that. I would say when we renominate Trump this year that’s another but I will still vote for him just like I have in every Presidential election I could vote since I’ve been , 2004. The sole exception, and I’ll be crucified for this but I don’t hide it, is 2016 when I voted for Gary Johnson because I live in KY and my 3rd party vote doesn’t matter. I voted Trump in 2020 though.

I think it was a clear signal that the party was out of touch with its voters.

McCain was very unpopular. I think they fooled the electorate with Romney but hindsight has shown how terrible of a candidate he was. And, they tried to push another Bush in 2016.

The electorate has been a slave to the money being spent and the candidate being pushed by the party prior to 2016.

8 years later, the party has decided to spend a billion (minimum) opposing a candidate that has 60-70% support.

It’s a monumental feat that the electorate has overcome the will of the party. Compare to the Democrats. They have been unable to mount even a decent grass roots effort to fix the party.

And you don’t understand why people tell you that you need to make shite up and attribute it to the person you’re debating before you can pose an argument.

ETA - I should be saying it was your post, not your words. You were quoting someone else. Point is, they’re not my words.

Republican voters overwhelmingly supported both McCain and Romney. Romney ended up with 2061 delegates and McCain 1575. Their closes competitors had 190 and 278, respectively. You can’t say the voters didn’t choose them.

Again, I’m not trying to badmouth Trump supporters. I have long believed that too many people vote and that you should have to pass a test on the major candidates stances before being able to vote.

How much has Trump spent attacking DeSantis vs attacking Biden. If he’s inevitable (which he is) why spend so much destroying the best republican governor in the country?

I agree and it’s one of the things I find admirable about Trump and his supporters. I just wished you supported someone who wasn’t in the center.

Almost the entire party apparatus is backing Trump. A few governors have endorsed DeSantis and five Representatives.

Trump has the endorsements of 13 Senators and dozens of Representatives. Plus the GOP is being run by his hand picked Chair, who is working hard to ensure Trump's success in the primary.

You want Trump to be the outsider candidate but he's simply not. He is the establishment now.

Wow. You will blatantly lie about things that are readily verifiable. Those words were not mine. They were rmldr's. I quoted it as I said...

How in the world are you not embarrassed by this?

Why would I be embarrassed about your “proof” of my dishonesty that isn’t that. I corrected what I posted and did it in a very transparent way. Moreover, the mistake I made in the post didn’t touch on the issue at hand - you arguing that I despise voters.

So let me ask you this - was it dishonest for you to post that I despise Republican voters, or was it just retarded?

That's his inauguration and it's tradition for previous Governors to attend. By your logic, Bill Clinton, Obama, and HRC support Trump because they attended his inauguration.

Meanwhile, let's see who Trump has surrounded himself with.
