As for why I paint Trump as either establishment or an establishment stooge, it's pretty simple and something you ignore because it doesn't fit with your weird political fantasy - permanent Washington/the establishment was far more monied, more powerful, and more in control on Trump's last day in office than it was on his first.

I think the Republican Party electorate has the same general breakdown of intelligence as the Democratic Party. It’s why we are a Republic and not a Democracy. I’m not trying to badmouth Trump voters either. How long have Republicans elected people who have said one thing at election and then acted differently when elected? Almost all of them. McCain was a big example of this. Always talked about wanting to get rid of Obamacare but was the deciding vote against repeal in the Senate. Or Graham on border security. Every election they say(id) one thing and then governed differently but Republicans kept electing them.
Hell, GOP voters nominated McCain and Romney for President when Ron Paul was an option. Was that a smart electorate?
ETA: I’m one of those dumb electorate. The only time I have ever donated money to a politician was in 2012 to Romney in the general election.
