Not who is better overall or anything other than who made the biggest jump from year 1 to year 2.

I think it is close but Burrow takes it. JB was Interchangeable with Danny Etling, solid but was not expecting much.

Not sure where 7 came from, and ya momma

I suppose you mean Joe Burrow, Joe Burrow by a gazillion miles, JD seems like a good kid, has a shot at the next level, we(boosters, fans, whatever,) are paying for championships and Burrow delivered, in a historic way, not even close

I'm sure it's JB for Joe Burrow. Maybe the number is an accident.

I assume more people will say Burrow because he was unreal in 2019, but I think that Daniels may have made a bigger jump. We saw flashes late in 2018 what Burrow could be.

I stupidly didn't think Daniels could improve as much as he did.

I feel like half the fan base didn't even want Daniels to return. I mean look how far he has come? Unless I'm just not understanding the question, I feel like Daniels made a bigger jump as a player that many wanted gone.

good point, he has made tremendous progress, and I'll admit that I'm one who thought he'd plateaued

Thats a good point, a good bit still wanted him gone midway through Army.

Not sure how or why that matters.

I might pick Burrow, but it is actually close. Burrow was just unreal. It's equally incredible how far Daniels has come. I remember LSU fans actually stating they would take Jefferson over Daniels earlier this season. I can't help but remember how disgusted I was with Daniels as the starter against Arkansas last year and now he's the most exciting player in college football.

I do remember before 2019 there was an SI writer who actually had Burrow as a dark horse Heisman contender. Was anybody thinking Daniels would be a legit Heisman contender? Maybe there was, but I don't even think LSU fans would have seen this coming.

to be honest, he didn't start the year on the level that he's been playing at for the last month or so

Burrrow and that’s not a knock on Daniels. Burrow did not have a 2nd half like Daniels did against FSU. Burrow won the heisman and then had 14 touchdowns in the playoffs. 2 years later, he lead the Bengals to the Super Bowl.

Do people who want to make these comparisons think that Daniels will be a top 10 or 5 NFL QB in 2 years? Burrow went from middle of the SEC QB to NFL caliber QB who didn’t lose another college game.

Daniels. You could see the Burrow magic in places. We had average OL play and a lot of dropped balls, but Burrow was a baller. It just came together in 2019.

Daniels? Improved to seeing the field, feeling the pocket, feeling confident, going deep, etc. Just got way better at literally all things.

Just a discussion on a discussion board but you missed the part where I said just the progress between year 1 and 2 at LSU. Jayden was a 5 star, that is what gives Burrow the edge.
