Agreed. I’ll take Elijah Robinson tho lol

That would have been like us hiring Corey Raymond.

Didn't he have good defenses at Florida

He did, but I think that was largely attributed to Will Muschamp being the architect of that defense.

LSU would cruise the NCG with that Defense.

We can also do a lot better today. He’s had one very good season at Ole Miss and not really performed to the level of the talent since going to A&M. His best works seems to be in the rear view mirror.

Then explain why he would be a bad hire considering we're currently 103rd in total defense. I'm genuinely curious about football-related cons. I know I wouldn't have considered Durkin until this thread.

We've gotten that he hasn't proven to be a consistent DC, and that he hasn't fielded a top 80 defense in nearly a decade, but the stats don't support either of those claims.

What if the staff wasn’t that bad and the DBs and the DTs coaches are replaced?

That could be a thing

Hopefully the Ags will chime in on this. I am curious how much credit Durkin is handed.

Durkin has been alright, but not a genius DC.

He has studs at A&M this year and didn’t maximize them in some key situations, which led to at least one of the losses.

We should take a look but I am really curious to see if BK moves on from House. He may get another year.

No chance. He didn't want to come back this year and Kelly talked him into staying. What we got is the result. He'll be coaching LBs in the NFL next season.

Do not want Durkin. He'll put together a decent defense if we have one of the most talent rich pools to build from. We've got nearly the opposite of that right now.
