You have to not try at all or show up to fail as a athlete with all those resources, tutors, academic advisors, etc

When I attended, you had to go at least your first semester freshman year to mandatory study hall. Clock in hours by swiping your ID. They didn't really crack down on that hard, but at some point people below a certain GPA had to do at least a one or two tutor appointments every week for a semester.
What's crazy is that the tutoring services are entirely voluntary if you ask for them, and they WILL find someone to tutor you. There is several hallways filled with computers to work. The main room on the 2nd floor of Cox was generally quiet and had big sets of tables to do schoolwork.
Yes, it was absolutely on the student athlete if they didn't utilize all the free resources given to them that the general student body didn't have unlimited access to.

I think what happened was she stop caring about school because she thought she was going to the wnba when the season was over until they won and she got all these NIL deals and decided to stay in which her gpa sucks arse.
