Get what you can for him and BI and build a team for the future.

What can we get for him? A bunch of draft picks?
Draft picks suck in the NBA.

Last year 5-5. This year 4-6. We were way healthier last year. Remember Herb Jones And Trigga Trey Murphy were hot garbage and were a waste of draft picks at this point.

The time to unload Zion is NOW
Once he gets injured and sits out the rest of the season it’ll be too late

Do yall imagine we'd get fare value for Zion and/or B.I. I Don't. C.J? are oldest player will be who? Valentunes*? Who alot want to trade him and draft picks for a much worse center. We will get a bunch of draft picks that are, not guaranteed to be that high. Are yall weman? Do you think we will have a competitive team within the next 6 years? bye bye, Herb Hakins and Trigger. we would have to let them go out of respect. It would take multiple desperate teams to pull anything remotely favorable for us. I swear Either weman or emotional teenagers. I wouldn't want want most yall running a taffy cart in the Yazzo City Zoo.

Not ideal but think of guys we drafted such as Hawkins and Trey and imagine in the future having more of those type of players.

He looks 30 pounds overweight. If that’s healthy then we’re fricked

Do yall imagine we'd get fare value for Zion, B.Ingram or C.J? I don't.
Who would be our oldest player? Valanciunas? A center who many people have proposed to trade Him and a 1st round pick for a worse center.
Any trades (involving our stars) we make will most likely be for future 1st round picks, that we would not know if they would end up being high/good picks. I would bet a lot of money we loose any trade of our stars
Are yall women? (as in making decisions on pure emotion)
If we were to make such rash decisions would anyone with the slightest inclination about player acquisition/movement expect to be back into contention, in the next 6 years? And if so would Yall expect to be able to keep are younger stars Herb, Murphy, maybe Dyson, Hopkins, and Jose?
When you consider the multiple draft picks we already have then the ones we would add we would have to trade multiple picks for a smaller amount of picks. It takes two to tango. So I'm highly skeptical that we would win out on the trading our stars, so we might be good 6 years from now.
I then go on about making personnel decisions based on emotion. This leads me to believe most people making these types of hyperbole statements, are not fit to run a taffy cart at the Yahoo City Zoo.

Just like with Chris Paul, and then the next star is the one. Or with Anthony Davis, and the next star is the one.

Its better than being in basketball purgatory.
What are we giving up? Being a fringe playoff team that misses more often than not? Having 2 players that either cant stay healthy or just dont feel like playing?
At least being terrible for a bit has a means to an end.

One or both have to go if we’re still hovering at .500 middle of the season

We have the seen the ceiling of this team last year with Zion and without BI. This was clearly one of the leagues best teams. I don’t think its an even a question who needs to go its BI.

I mean we have drafted pretty well with the Herb Jones, Trey Murphy, Hawkins and as well as scouting UDFA like Alvarado
I just dont understand watching the same thing expecting a different result. We have already swapped out coaches.
A strategy predicated on "hoping for the best" has not served us well.

I do get the worry though. As much we hate their effort and chemistry together- Zion and BI are NBA talents. Imagine we made the Scoot trade, we would have given up Zion and/or BI for a guy who looks horrible do far. Even with their lazy asses both players are far better than Scoot. I think you pick one to build around and trade the other for tangibke NBA players thar fit. I personally would build around Zion but something tells me they would rather ship out Zion.
