Both “must watch” type players but winning percentages not elite.

They are not renaming Tiger Stadium after Jayden Daniels. Having seen both play their respective sports and there isn’t a remote comparison. I’m not sure if some of you understand how much better Pete was than everyone else that ever put on a college basketball jersey. That includes Michael Jordan. Michael didn’t have nearly that guys skill set. For those that don’t know, Pete could dunk so effortlessly and had some serious hops. Ask Dr J because he wrote about him in his book. He had to play below the rim.
All y’all saw were the passes and shots…

Considering Pistol will never relinquish his title as top scorer in college basketball history even though he could only play three years and never had a three point line…

Pete was before my time, but is widely considered the greatest player in college basketball history.
Jayden will be know as the 2nd best QB in LSU history

Not in the same stratosphere.

I only respond (this is definitely a troll) b/c Pistol Pete Maravich was someone I idolized as a youngster. I made sure and wear the #23 whenever they were giving out jerseys. I learned to dribble b/w the legs and around the back watching him play. He was by far the most amazing basketball player I ever witnessed play. He could do it all: pass, dribble, shoot, and rebound. He did o.k. on defense but he rarely was guarding the other teams best player. He needed his energy to score! LOL

You cannot compare Pistol Pete to anyone. His scoring record will never be broken.
