A Les miles offense sucked, but it was a system. It slowed a game, wore down the opponent, and helped the defense

A shitty defense is just that, shitty

I find it funny how these comparisons are always about Les Miles' offense, but the DC's defense. Even when he was here. His offense sucked, but the DC's defense was good. If the HC gets credit/blamed for one, it should be the same for both.

Les Miles offense was easier. Because a defense can score and get stops.

Offense can only score/punt/turn the ball over

Well the Les Miles’ offense was never on the field that long . . . the House defense seems to be on the field forever. Thus, just based on the amount of exposure, the defense is more frustrating.

Watching our offense under Miles in his last few seasons was unbearable but with our defense we always had a chance.

This season, we have the top-ranked offense in the nation and still are sitting with three losses in early November. JD5 is putting up historic numbers for an LSU QB and this offense has numbers not far from 2019. This defense is waaay worse than Miles offenses.

This defense would probably get lit up by any offense we ever had under Miles.

Les miles 1000%.

Do you not remember how many stud athletes we had come through this program under miles that we practically wasted?

House easily for me. At least during the Miles Era we would have some elite RBs to get excited about running the toss dives and I-formation. Hester, K.Williams, Ware, Ford, etc. and especially Guice and Fournette were fun to watch. No doubt a frustrating pass game though. House has taken away any and all excitement on the defense. Masson Smith, Speights, and Harold Perkins were some dudes I was super pumped to watch this year yet our defense has made these dudes non-existent to bad. Sure I guess we can blame personnel but still...zero excitement when the defense takes the field. Les Miles was rough but when the ball was tossed to Guice or Fournette, I got excited...except against Bama.

Our 2010 passing game accumulated 2000 yards, 10 tds and 10 ints and averaged around 6 yards per pass.

That might be a fair match to this current defense.

Miles' offense because he didn't use all the weapons in his arsenal of future NFL players.
