Assuming LSU beats Florida, GA St and A&M.
What needs to happen for LSU to land in a NY6 bowl?

Bama wins out beats UGA. Both of them make the CFP. Ole Miss loses to UGA And State. Does this put LSU in the mix for a NY6 Bowl?

Ole Miss would still likely have to lose two more games.

Ole Miss will lose to Georgia
I know State sucks but it is in Starkville so there is a chance.

Not off the table, but Ole Miss beating A&M hurt. We’ll almost definitely be behind them, the loser of Bama/Georgia in the SECCG, and maybe even Tennessee. Possibly Missouri if they don’t lose again.

That would help, but the SEC getting 2 teams in this year's playoff seems much less likely than previous years at this point in the season. Need some chaos in other conference for the opportunity to get two SEC teams in.

If Ole Miss loses to both Georgia & Miss. State, they'd still likely get the nod for NY6 if we both finish 9-3.

LSU has no ranked opponents remaining, so beating 3 teams we're heavily favored over won't help the case much. I'm not expecting LSU to be in NY6 this season.

All of the above would need to happen & LSU in the top 10 at 9-3?

Seems unlikely

I forgot about Missouri. Yep they’re definitely in the mix for a NY6 if they win out.

LSU is probably not in the hunt for a NY6. How bout a Texas Bowl vs Kansas or OK State?

This. The SECCG winner is definitely in, unless Auburn beats Bama and Bama beats UGA. In that case, I assume that UGA would still get in, but who knows?

I think Georgia gets left out in this scenario. Bama gets in plus the pac 12 champ, an undefeated FSU, and an undefeated Big 10 champ. Not to mention a one loss Big 12 champ Texas has a better resume than a one loss Georgia

Who gets left out between a 12-1 Big XII champ Texas and a 12-1 SEC champ Bama?

I assume it would be Texas because Bama would have the better overall resume, but how much does the head-to-head weigh in the overall equation?

You might as well pencil us in to Tampa.

Or maybe Tampa! No thanks!

LSU will not be able to give tickets away.

We had fewer fans at the Citrus Bowl last year than we have at regular season away games.

two SEC teams are not getting into the CFP this season.

With JD5 out, beating UF will be a challenge, IMO. Hopefully, JD5 can get back into his spot by the A&M game.

Georgia, Bama, Ole Miss and Mizzou will probably all be ahead of LSU in the Bowl hierarchy. I think we will end up in what used to be the Outback Bowl or the Gator Bowl.

Finish in the Top12.

And yes it’s possible, but we’ll need some help/losses above us.

It better weigh alot. Otherwise, whats the point in playing that game if Bama gets in over them and both are 1 loss champions. And those two teams are vying for the final spot.

In this scenario, it would mean Fla St, Washington and either Michigan or Ohio State are all undefeated, leaving 1 spot.
