This is so asanine. Are you serious? We beat Alabama last season and won the SEC West
So, does that mean that he is such a good coach he can win the SEC west without caring??? Imagine if he gave just a tiny bit of effort!!!

Pretty sure we paid him $100m to win most of those games

No one gives a shite about good losses. Kelley is an overpaid average coach with a garbage defense. Not a good recipe to make up for his mediocrity

Everybody likes to make a nice impression their first week at a new job.
The guy was wearing LSU colors and doing his best to fake what he thought was a Louisiana country accent. He was tapdancing for us all.

LSU is an average SEC west team with fans who think they're the Brady Patriots/Mahomes chiefs.
It's like you think LSU only existed in 2019.

You are proving my point exactly... It is not like he is losing to bottom tier teams habitually. We were HORRIBLE when he walked in. In no way am I condoning the losses. With that being said, you have to acknowledge that the program is improving. The sky is not falling.

But, here soon we will look up and be in Atlanta year in and year out.
I really have no idea what all is involved in the revamping of a roster, and do agree that the program was in complete shambles when he took over. And while I fully agree that we can, in order for your above statement to come to fruition he better bust out the checkbook and sign some very impactful recruits coming up here in December and February.
Cause last night was textbook example of it’s not so much about the X’s and O’s as it is the Jimmy’s and Joe’s.

I want JD to win the Heisman, but Nuss needs real playing time now for next year.
JD’s Heisman run ended last night.
The voters today aren’t going to award it to the QB of a 3-loss team. Sad, because it was the defense that cost him the trophy.

Honest question, what gives you the optimism? Our front seven is not going to improve from a talent standpoint. Weeks will likely start next year, but Jefferson is gone and possibly Guillory. Weeks and Perkins are the only bright spots for the future of the front seven. And Perkins is struggling. The DB situation this off-season will be the the DT situation next off-season.
If house is fired that likely means a slew of new coaches as well, if he stays, it’s rinse and repeat. Either way it will take massive shift that would need to be in the works now.
Too many oversights this past off-season from coaches to recruiting that will have lasting impacts in the future.

Are you one of the guy’s kids? Because your unrealistic assessment of the state of the program right now makes you sound like one.

I’m not surprised. Everyone knew he didn’t win the tough games at ND what makes anyone think that would magically change at LSU.

And you know how it goes...we are gonna get a&m's best performance and probably floridas too.

He inheritted a bad situation in the defensive backfield. As such brought in 4 guys from the portal. All 4 of them unavailable... Sometimes the ball doesn't bounce your way.

Brian Kelly won more games at Notre Dame than any other coach in the history of their program.
He's also tied for last in Notre Dame history with the likes of Tyrone Whittingham for fewest number of National Championships won.

Not to mention, he had a big advantage up there in South Bend of Notre Dame being a huge media darling that would favor them in the poles every year. And Still no hardware.

The last game before CBK was hired was a bowl game against Kansas St with a WR playing QB and 41 scholarship players
How many more years are we going to have to hear about this?
The 2021 LSU defense was better than the 2023 version

I have optimism for several reasons. Mainly, I like to look at the big picture. LSU won 2 natty's and lost one with two straight up imbeciles at the helm. Obviously BK being the winningst coach in CFB is better suited than the two previous.
And, more than anything, life is a lot more enjoyable when the glass is half full!!!!

Brian Kelly is currently 2-4 at lsu vs top 10 teams.
Considering his team probably had less overall talent than his opponents in most of those games, that’s not bad at all.

The fact that we won the west last year and were in contention this year shows we’re on the right track.
Our fans love to look back and Les and O to compare, but neither is accurate.
The more accurate comparison would be Saban at LSU. Saban had to build the program up again after a disastrous two final seasons by DiNardo.
Kelly said year three, crystal ball says maybe a bit longer, but our fans don’t want to hear about how the entire foundation needed to be replaced.
