Don’t tell me it’s right knee soreness. You don’t think BI has played through some soreness at some point during all his 2-a-days in the gym over the summer or during USA basketball prep. Just because it’s now the NBA season, it shouldn’t change the way you manage soreness.

Just tell me that he’s got a potential meniscus or MCL injury or patellar tendonopathy. Then, we can at least have a realistic expectation why they’re holding him out until further testing.

Otherwise, I expect no more than a one game absence for “soreness”.

He wouldn't practice if that was the case.

Maybe you should just accept that BI is mentally weak and won't play through any sort of discomfort.

What is the point on fully guaranteed contracts if they don’t play through minor issues?

BI won't play unless he's a 100% pain free. He's a horrible guy to build a team around

The league needs to create an iron man incentive for the player contracts. They get a certain percentage bump from the league if they are fit to play so many games a year.

You can’t get any NBA awards if you don’t play 65 games. Thats a big incentive. Obviously hasn’t mattered to BI.

For a guy that said he was betting on himself, it’s not going so well.

If they can put a weight clause in Zions contract, they should put an injury clause in BI. Ingram would never sign the extension plus players association would throw a fit. But honestly, I wouldn’t sign him to an extension without one.

I think the 65 game threshold was a step in the right direction. They should take the tax money and give everyone a 0.5-1% compensation bump for hitting a threshold of games played or active status. Make it outside of the salary cap.

The NBA will not give more money to players to basically do their job. I get what you’re saying, trust me. I think you’ll have Silver make more rules in regards to resting players which he already has.

ain't nobody trying to build around BI, bruh, including us...

if they are smart (not that i have much faith in this front office), once Trey gets back and is healthy, they'll move on from BI, and get SOMETHING for this limp wristed, pussy arse bag of bones

They basically have stated BI is the leader if this team and BI/Zion are the best duo in NBA. Hate to tell you but they are absolutely building around BI.

They are paid so much money, none of them care about an incentive. AD could’ve made like 15m more a year by resigning here and he still decided to leave.

I mean it is beneficial to both sides. The league ain’t going to just make a rule and they are going to do it. Just the way it is. They have eroded their leverage over the last couple of decades. .

I dont know man. NBA really makes their money in the playoffs. Most stars play in playoffs. In the end of the day, there are some stars who have these issues but honestly BI is on another level with this BS. Lebron, jokic, giannis, luka - they’re all playing. My solution is trade BI while you have leverage (again real early thoughts on this - im assuming he wont play 65 this year). I honestly think its a BI problem and maybe Zion. CJ and Jonas dont do this BS.

This is the first year of the games minimum; how can you know if it matters to BI yet?

It shouldn't matter to him because if we're all being honest, injured nor not, BI was never going to sniff any of the awards that you can receive that have the 65 game minimum.

He has no chance at All NBA.
