How can you say this while simultaneously claiming that the children are 100% better off with their parents staying in a loveless marriage?

What kind of spouses do you think those children will be if that is their example of what a marriage is?

That's it. Your word means something or it doesn't.

If she broke the vow, that's one thing. To bail on your kids is indeed spineless.
Now replace weight gain with drug addiction. Is there a point that you can divorce a drug addicted spouse while still maintaining your "word"? You can argue that she broke the 'honor her spouse' portion of her vows but you could make the same argument for morbid obesity.

You should hit this fatty up. Maybe you can provide some comfort for her. You're clearly infatuated.

You don't burn enough cals to make up for shitty eating habits. It's science. I know you lefties aren't too keen on actual science though.

I'm sure this isn't a single issue but you have to think about the children at some point. If you're feeding my kids junk food every day I'll have to step in and protect them

I say this me bc my wife had a lot of problems when we were young. I thought about leaving, but I couldnt live w some other man being in my house raising my children. Eventually, we worked through our problems & we're closer now than ever & our children are happy, well-adjusted, & successful.

Also, all the studies they've done over decades now bare this out: children are worse off after divorce in many different ways. Its a fact.

I know every situation is unique, but unless one of these parents is a lunatic who's endangering the children, the kids will absolutely be better off with them trying to work it out.

It is a fact. These are liberal institutions doing all of these family studies that certainly don't fit their narrative at all & even they have to admit it.

Youre shocked to learn children have better outcomes in a two parent home?

I’ve never been divorced and my parents never divorced but wife’s (no pics) are. I think there’s a big difference in dad or mom walking out on the family due to drugs, gangsta life, or just not wanting kids, then say, 2 people getting divorced but both still being a big part of their children’s lives. Wife was raised by her mom but she is also still close to her dad to this day, always has been.

Eta: Not to say there isn’t scars though, she was 6 when they divorced. She had self esteem issues growing up and likely caused from that.

It is not a fact that it is 100% of the time better. You yourself already outlined scenarios where it isn't.

Not disagreeing, agree mostly.

But assuming for the sake of discussion (doesn’t apply here IOW) that you’re in damn good shape, run 5 miles a day and lift for 30-60 mins, (or whatever training example), you could probably hog out on some fast food or something bad pretty consistently and stay in shape, right? Would be a good experiment.

I wonder what the statistics say about health outcomes for children that were raised by parents with poor eating habits?

This type of person can eat more than a sedentary person, absolutely. This person is an extreme outlier, similar to NFL players and BMI charts

Lay out the scenario where these kids are better off living alone w this depressed fat bitch who's given up on herself & only seeing daddy every other Saturday at his studio apartment.

There is a lot of room between maintaining a figure and gaining 100 pounds.

So you're now shifting the argument that it's not always 100% better?

To answer this specific scenario, why are we assuming the dad will only see them every other Saturday? If you want to stack the deck to make your bullshite claim right in this one scenario, you do you.

The science says moderate exercise which they describe as walking doesn’t do much.

if you think running every day won’t effect your weight go right ahead.

people who go from exercising a lot to not at all tend to gain weight.
