quote:Because they haven't. Sorry, but Mozart, etc. rank far above anyone they've got, and classical music is the most expressive, purely artistic form of music there is.
Black composers are listed by their first and last names, indicating that they don't reach the higher class of whites.
There's a reason all of the most iconic movie themes are classical pieces. It's just better for conveying pure emotion. And these racist 'thinkers' know that.

Vivaldi was an ordained priest although, by all accounts, not a celibate one.
My understanding is that he was a monk, not a priest.

Many, many more than just mahler and Strauss.
Paganini, Handel, Braums, Haydn, Rossini.
Our simplified, 4-chord, pachelbel music industry has programmed most of the population to shun complexity.
Part of the Beatles' revolution was rediscovering classical music theory.
Can some contemporary music offer interesting ideas? Yes.
Are they really trying to develop music complexity... or are they trying to lay down a juicy hook to make money?
I'll let you decide.

If they can’t subvert it, they’ll try and destroy it. We live in crazy times

It’s crazy that I’ve been around long enough to remember when most of this stuff was common sense, then entire generations of people were brainwashed, and now we’re almost having to re-teach common sense. And I’m only in my early 40’s.

The proof is that white composers are referred to only by their last name...Beethoven, Chopin, Mozart, etc
By whom?
I know Frédéric Chopin, Wolfgang Motzart, Franz Liszt and I'm only an occasional classic music fan.
I do think this rocks though:
Hungarian Rhapsody #2, FRANZ Liszt

Beethoven- Für Elise/ YT
Nas I can/ YT
Mozart Requiem/ YT
Ludacris Coming To America/ YT
Beethoven Sonota 2nd movement/ YT
Wu Tang Clan Impossible/ YT
And there are many more. It is almost as if blacks are appropriating white culture and making money off of it. Also not like they had many blacks in 18th and early 19th century Europe. These fricking people are stupid.

Another issue is major orchestras are committing to 10% black musicians after pressure from activists. The current number of black musicians in these orchestras is 1.7%. They're gonna have to lower some standards.

Listz is my favorite.
So, it was hard for me to say he was underrated.

Just remembered another example in the book. One of the classic movie protesters wrote: "If you enjoy Handel's 'Hallelujah Chorus' you're a racist. Because Handel owned stock in a company that shipped slaves."
Handel was given the stock in lieu of cash payment for some performances.

Classical music, (as well as art, poetry, and architecture) remind us at a very basic level that the human condition can, and does, aspire to be greater than those who choose to lie in their own filth.
It’s like casting a bright ray of light into the dark shadows.

If you only referred to them as Jefferson, Jackson, Washington, etc., fans would confuse the black composers with other folks.

That's a little unfair.
Can't wait to hear our own Rockin' Dopsie playing Rodrigo's Concierto de Aranjuez and Albeniz' Asturias on his washboard.

He could elicit such speculation if you mean it within the context of his absolutely amazing accomplishments.
It was said by those closest to him that it seemed that he would conceptualize the entire composition in his mind before he put it to paper.
Just like Newton in Physics, it would be difficult to assign an accurate I.Q. level to Mozart that's not totally theoretical.
Both are examples of the type of Westerners that absolutely frost panderers and those who have been successfully conditioned to be embarrassed by who and what they are products of.

They're jealous of white folks' talent now?
