Question for my Tigerdropping brothers. How long can a person get locked up for threatening to beat the frick out of another person?

I thought so too but apparently you can. I should have added that I made the threats F2F, sent some texts after, and that I’ve never been arrested except for a fight ~30 years ago in Tigerland. LOL…that’s the LSU tie-in. Cops gave me a choice of jail or psyc place and I chose the psyc place because I figured that they couldn’t hold me for more than like 48 or 72hrs but I was wrong.
Answer is 10 days so I guess should have chosen jail instead. So this is like an FYI thread on the morning after I got out and

I did and they did but he was a court appointed attorney. I couldn’t call my own lawyer. How are you going to call your lawyer if you don’t have your iphone and his number? I also couldn’t call my friends because I don’t have their numbers memorized.
I figured I’d post this because someone may find themself in that situation one day and who the frick wants to be locked down for 10 days?
