I wanted to start a thread with all of our possibilities in the 24 class. LSU is sitting at 26 commits. I think it’s possible LSU takes 30 this cycle. Feel free to add anybody to this list and I’ll update the OP.

5* Athlete Terry Bussey (A&M commit) TX
4* Edge Gabriel Reliford (A&M commit) LA
4* WR Drelon Miller (A&M commit) TX
4* DL Charleston Collins (Arkansas commit) AR
4* CB Selman Bridges (Arkansas commit) TX
4* CB Hunter Moddon (uncommitted) TX
4* S Peyton Morgan (Texas Tech commit) TX
3* DL Shone Washington Juco (uncommitted) MS
3* DL Jaden Hamlin Juco (uncommitted) MS

LSU recruiting continues to be Elite in the state of Texas.

After landing Weston Davis, it seems like LSU may reel in some big fish that none of us were thinking of. I like your list, finishing with some solid dlineman would definitely be awesome

DL Charleston Collins (Arkansas commit) AR

Know nothing about this guy, but he's at a position of need. Furthermore, I am almost certain that whoever is recruiting him to ARK won't be there by signing day

Lonn on twitter did say it is some players people aren't talking about. I sure wasn't thinking about Weston Davis so I will check to see who we finished close with.

Wonder how Charleston Collins is feeling now days. Shea really thought he was going to pick LSU.

If he wants to play on a team that will play meaningful games he better jump ship.

What’s the word on Tyanthony Smith? According to the Aggie sites - Smith is close friends with Davis and Miller. LSU have any interest?

Good list, but we will surely add a DT or two.

Bigger question is how many spots will we have for both recruits and transfers
Still desperately need dline in this class from whatever means necessary and obviously they are looking for experience at that spot but they need some that can develop

Gotta think another DL if they can get a flip - or a big time DT in the portal. And you hope smith or wingo stays (at least one). I’m not sure if Jordan Jefferson has another year.

I don't know that Wingo is going to be that huge prospect in the scouts eyes so maybe he does return

Smith needs to return as he is only a RS Soph but with the injury history I could see him wanting to get to the NFL sooner than later and most mocks still have him highly coveted but I just don't see it. If he comes back and puts up a dominant year he could top 10 easy.

How do you all feel about:

QB: Should we add another or portal in a sr for a 4th qb for 2024.

Safety/CB: seems like we need one more. Then you can see where there are going to be two guys asked to leave. One is just learning how to take off his gold chain. Langlois is still hurt. I think we need to maybe add two safeties.

dstone,

you are listing 21 dbs (with 2 probable departures), that is roughly 25% of the 85 - specialists (4) = 81 roster limit. Trying to fit in 2 more is a bit of a stretch. As is, 19 is a high number of DBs to carry (3 or 4 over optimal level). With the exception of the aforementioned 2 probable departures to get to 19, there really isn't many attrition candidates on the list due to the youth at the DB positions.

Added Shone Washington and Jaden Hamlin to OP. #10 and #11 ranked Juco players in the country.

Jefferson and Speights were "one year rentals", both will exhaust their eligibility at the end of this season.

Well there are plenty of examples of DBs taking up the majority of players on the field, in nickel and dime defenses and special teams.
