Northwestern State cancels football season; head coach resigns

I don't agree with the decision. I have lost loved ones in very tragic situations and still grieve some 15 years later, but life does go on. Would rather have seen the team honor him by finishing out the season. Just my $0.02.

On the surface, the coach’s reason for resigning doesn’t fly. While I understand being upset over the shooting death of a player, that alone is no reason to resign.
I’ll be very surprised if more information that in some way implicates the coach doesn’t come out in the next few days.
