I'm not sure if I have ever accused myself of being crazy as much as I am writing this...

But does anyone else feel like they have a finite amount of 'inflammation' floating around in your blood that just seems to attack certain joints/tendons/muscles and then move on to the next one??

For over a decade now I've for a decent portion of the time have had some ailment going on, most common is achilles tendonitis. In fact I remember the first time it happened I was backing up a RV and couldn't see something that I did not need to hit, so it was up and down up and down getting in and out and out of frustration I jumped out of the door the last time and something just didn't feel right with my left foot/ankle. Then I couldn't bend my left ankle for the next couple of days. And it has been knees, feet, wrist, back many times over since then. Never ever on both sides of my body at the same time. I would be immobile if that ever happened.

But over the last month I've had some lower back pain right up until I tweaked my knee playing tennis last week. It is vastus medialis tendonitis. The last 3 days I haven't been able to bend my right knee. I believe yesterday was the hump as today I regained a bit of function. But then it dawned on me that during this knee episode I have had 0 back pain until today when the knee started getting better. ;banghead; ;banghead; And just even more crazy, is that for the past two days I have barely been able to walk, but it is quite possible I might run a 5k next week. It just really completely comes and goes like that.

So yes dear diary, and yes this is peak crazy. But anyone else feel like they deal with anything similar? And did anything ever make it better?? I've always just said this was the ageing process. Who knows, but it sucks.

I don’t know you, and I’m not telling you it’s all in your head, but if I were you, I’d read The Mindbody Prescription….with an open mind.

I believe our minds can and do cause inflammation.

At the risk of sounding trendy, might I suggest cold plunges. Whether is a placebo or not, it's done wonders for my arthritis.

Do you, by any chance drink coffee? I’m convinced that go-go juice causes chronic inflammation in my body. Suffering real bad tendinitis at the moment. But, like you, it’s always something: back pain, tennis elbow, shoulder issues, whatever. Really wanna quit the stuff to see if it makes a difference, but I fall back off the wagon time and again after a couple of weeks at a time.
