Let's not be blinded by our hatred for Saban. When I look past my Saban hatred at the facts - I think its better if Bama wins the NC as opposed to Florida.

Reasons:

1) LSU will have TWO recent NC opponents on their schedule in the near future instead of just one. This is good for the human polls where perception is everything.
2) LSU will remain the only program with 2 BCS NC's, but will still be from a conference with 4 recent NC's either way.

Which looks better?

LSU
USC
Texas
Florida
LSU
Alabama

or

LSU
USC
Texas
Florida
LSU
Florida

the latter makes Florida look like the most recent dominant SEC team. The former makes LSU look that way.

People are scared that a Bama NC will mean Saban will then come in here and rape the state of all of our talent. What they fail to remember is LSU had some pretty good guys play here before Lil' Nicky showed up and Les is doing an outstanding job securing our border. Now, if Randle picks the Crimson hat in February be prepared for the meltdown to end all meltdowns.

#1 is legit, but #2 doesn't phase me.

Bottom line: National Championship for Bama gives them more recruiting power.

Totally agree but there is no way in hell I can follow this logic and pull for the Gumps...I wouldn't be able to live with myself

Reason not to root for Bama:

Have you seen the SEC Rant board? It's turned into "look at my Bamapenis". Their fans are intolerable. No more soup for them.

Jealousy? Hatred? Rivalry? Who cares.

Gators leave Saban and his throng humiliated and I sleep good.

Seriously how long do you expect LSU to be the only team with 2 BCS Titles? Just be glad that we were the first. You can never take away being the first to do anything.

Go GAYTORS.

History is def. against Saban. If he were to win a nc at Bama, he'd be the first coach in the history of college football to win a Div. 1 nc at 2 different schools. I think UF wins easy.

True LSU will remain the only SCHOOL with two BCS titles, but Saban will be the first COACH with 2 BCS Titles. Food for thought, but I am with you I would rather see Bama win, my dislike for Tebow is stronger than any coach.

Meh. Not so much.

Wrong. If 'Bama goes, Texas* will smoke them and there will still be 2 with 2.

*Obviously, I'm predicting that Mizzou will upset the Okies, or play them tough, and the pollsters will correct their f*ckup of last weekend.
