Not too far off.

quote:

According to Centers for Disease Control and Prevention data, 48,830 people were killed with a firearm in the US in 2021. Suicides were 54% of all firearm-related deaths that year, compared to 43% from homicides.

quote:

White liberals are more prone to mental health disorders than individuals who identify as conservative or moderates, according to a Pew Research Center survey.

Sixty-two percent of Whites who classify themselves as “very liberal” or “liberal” have been told by a doctor they have a mental health condition, as compared to 26% of conservatives and 20% of moderates, the study found.

quote:

Within the United States, the odds of dying from firearm homicide are much higher for Americans who reside in cities. Twenty percent of all firearm homicides in the U.S. occur in the country’s 25 largest cities, even though they contain just over one-tenth of the U.S. population. Data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention show that of the 12,979 firearm homicides in 2015, 81 percent occurred in urban areas.

quote:

There is even more to the story: CDC data also show that within our nation’s cities, black Americans are, on average, eight times more likely to be killed by firearms than those who are white.

If youre a white person who doesnt live in one of these cities, you have very little to worry about.

bullshite. That's why we say we have gun laws in place to prevent this crap if they would just use them. It's almost as they allow these things on purpose to up the chatter and rhetoric on "we need assault weapon bans". Almost every mass shooting in recent history had signs that could have been used to stop the killing.

Hoping sarc. Praying sarc.

2000 feds, staties and locals spent two days in a locked down city looking for a Boston Marathon Bomber who shot up a neighborhood and then traveled four blocks away and hid in a boat. They finally gave up, disbanded, and the guy was discovered by a plumber

Because you Leftists are evil and insane.

If we can't trust you to define "woman", why in the FK would we trust you to define what is "reasonable" concerning gun laws?

Lord, all you gotta do is look at the damn CDC's website dipshit..

What people like yourself don't understand is if you take suicide and a handful is cities out of the equation the US would have a nearly non-existent gun death to population percentage...

But please continue to drink your liberal hippiedippie coolaid

Not sure if it's been mentioned but from my understanding with knowing several people that live in Maine and from what I witnessed in visits there the state is geographically split between conservative and liberal. The area where the shooting took place is in the more liberal area, Portland which is about 30 miles away is as left wing as any area of the country. Might be an explanation of why there were no good guys with guns.

They just showed photos of the victims at press conference. Of the 18 — 16 were white men, two white women.

(And that sign language interpreter is over the top.)

What if he has a strategy like the movie Mud? Lay low, then eventually sail away in an unmarked boat for parts unknown

If he wasn’t so mentally unwell (documented), I could get on board with the idea he’s pulled together a strategy like that.
But by all accounts, the guy is unhinged.
I’m no psychiatrist, but can someone who’s broken with reality successfully concoct and carry out a sophisticated getaway plan?

I’m still inclined to think he’s offed himself.

Same thoughts here. His corpse most likely is in the woods or water somewhere relatively close.

Depends on if the voices are helping or hindering him.
