Vehicle in question was found in Lisbon, Maine which is about 15 minutes SE of Lewiston (8 miles).

Stupid? Lol. The supply is the supply. More supply, cheaper. More supply, easier to get a hold of one whether legally or illegally.
Do you not realize the manufacturers likely make sure you know how big the illegal gun market is just so you will buy another gun legally, thus keeping their profits up?
If it makes you feel better, Gun control is pointless at this point. That ship sailed long ago. I would just be satisfied with the same people crowing about their willingness to shoot someone, even if in defense, realize how ridiculous they sound when they also constantly wonder why there is so much violence and crime. People are violent by nature. Give them the right opportunity, it will come out. It really is just a matter of degrees and craziness.

Just a thought but if he’s from Bowdoin and his car is found at the boat launch in Lisbon he could be headed back towards Bowdoin by boat the Androscoggin River runs from Lisbon down to Bowdoin
