I’m watching Goliath on prime, and it got me thinking. I can’t think of another actor that is better at playing the smart guy who is a serial frickup.
Good show so far thougj

I remember S1 being really good, but I don't remember much after that.

Good for you, because it went off the rails. It started great, but season 2 was bad enough for us to stop watching, which we rarely do after starting a new show.

It’s all down hill after Season 1.
Seasons 2 and 3 are some of the worst tv ever created.
Season 4 wasn’t terrible but not that good either

I liked the series. Thought it was smart, dark, debaucherous, good cast... shite that keeps me entertained pretty much.

The series was at it's best when William Hurt played Donald Cooperman, Billy McBride's former partner, who is now his nemesis. Cooperman's firm represents the wealthiest clients and Billy's ex is a partner there. That whole dynamic disappears, and the show feels like it's just Billy slumming after that.

It helps that he is so obviously a southerner. The South is filled with highly intelligent men who let drinking, fighting, and fricking get in the way of any upwardly mobile ambitions.

Treat it like a one season series.

It became really boring.

Which season had all the hallucinations and shite? I recall S1 and 2 being good but barely remember 3,4. I think I stopped at the hallucinations.

I liked season 1 a lot. Season 2 was ok. I lost interest at 3rd season with all the hallucinations and whatnot. Ended up just skipping to last episode to see how it ended.
Season 4 was ok.
Season 4 was ok.
