The assumption is Espada is next man up. I have mixed feelings. Is it setting up more of the same? Same voices, same routines in the clubhouse and dugout?

So what becomes of Uncle Mike? Post game interview made it sound like Houston was "past tense" for him.

Resigning Brantley was a lazy decision. I thank him for his veteran presence but he is past his prime. This team needs new life not same same

Is Montero fixable?
Will LMJ be able to be a middle reliever?
What do we do with Abreu?
What do we do with Peña?

Can't resign a 37 year old who's missed most of the last 2 seasons with shoulder issues.

I friggin knew it, and this is why my feelings weren't hurt when I was told I had to be up for a delivery this early in the morning and couldn't watch the game. I'm surprised this team managed to get this far considering how they should have been eliminated two months ago when they started stumbling their way down the stretch.
Dusty is gone? Good. Definitely take your precious obese catcher with you so he can show you the intangibles of retirement home facilities. The entire bullpen can frick off right along with em.

Nice to wake up and see Baker is probably gone. Too bad they wasted a year so that someone who needed 25 seasons to win one World Series could be greedy and try to win a second. May he take Maldonado out the door with him.

Hope there are other changes to the coaching staff. They need a new offensive approach after the performance at home this season. And hopefully, Dana Brown is allowed to do his job and is good at doing it.

Goddamned miracle we made it to game 7 of the ALCS anyway:

Kyle Tucker postseason: .150/.292/.225, 6-for-40 (three doubles, one RBI).
Jeremy Peña postseason: .200/.238/.225, 8-for-40 (one double, one RBI).

I saw a post thanking Mochael Brantley. He has been utterly useless and a salary drain on us. Good riddance. Tucker and Pena can also go.

Other than Garcia, I don’t mind seeing that team move on. I’m glad they spared me any drama because this game was over in the first.

I said it about a month ago, but if for some reason Dusty is back next year, I’m not.

Problem is who trust Crane, Bagwell, and the GM in name only to make some tough decisions on this roster going forward.

I was wrong. We did not in fact go to the World Series.

But that’s ok. This team overcame a lot of adversity (the majority of it caused by trash management, all year)

The window is not closed, but some things need to change.

Time to get a manager that likes analytics again. Heck I’d just go hire Hinch back.

We need to start moving on from a couple of the older guys.

Core should still be Altuve,Bregman,Alvarez,Tucker

I trust Dana Brown.

I do not trust Bagwell or Reggie Jackson. I hope their time in the sun has come and gone.

Would it shock anyone that Tucker was still our highest fWAR player with as bad as he’s been the last 2 months?

Yeah it sucks that he's been hurt, but his career is over. He got paid $30m-ish to spend the last two years on the dl. Use that money to go find a few pitchers that don't crumble in the big starts.

We have seen our last dusty line up and last Maldy at bat.

Things are already looking up

Will leave with Dusty.

To be honest I have no problem with Dusty or Reggie or Bagwell other than their ability to takeover decision making and steer the team in the wrong direction.

Other than that

I'd be happy if we can get a left fielder, a centerfielder, and a catcher

I'm not down on the pitching. I think we have a lot of guys who have proven to be effective, they just need some holy water splashed on them.

Catcher is already here.

If they grab a great OF, I can live with Chas at whatever spot they don’t fill.

Need to grab a starting P and someone to fill the Neris role.
