Nobody wants him as a DC, they want him as the D line coach and RECRUITING coordinator. Chavis isn't supposed to be much of a recruiter, so it'd be great to have O on staff.

We're not at all, but it'd be nice to move forward with the confidence that we'll stay that way. Every little bit helps.

They HAVE been solid. But we've got to keep it that way! Fortunately, there's always a steady stream of LA talent coming in...along with more and more from TX, FL etc. And when you look at LSU in the NFL - not too many can compete.

BUT...this season will affect us down the road. They've got to keep it together. And I have every confidence that they will. It's like a ripple in a pond.

Most kids are short-sighted. Comes with the territory. Some may look at it as...they need help...possible early playing time. Others may shy away and look at other teams who are successful now. So recruiting is always important. There's never any slack time. You get one shot at these kids and you can't blow it.
