Have they sized up King Kong even more now?
Also didn't realize this was a show and not a movie. I enjoyed the Kong vs. Godzilla movie from a couple years back. May have to check this out.

I’ll be really annoyed if this turns out to be a show more about people and their stories than the monsters. That trailer was very human oriented…
Godzilla vs Kong didn’t have any real over arching human story and no love interests or scenes, just big lizard punch big monkey. And that’s why people liked it.
We don’t care anymore about human drama when there’s building sized monsters!

Is this show within the same universe as those movies?

Who cares? It has the same monsters.
They can insert new humans into the shows/movies, but they should never be more than plot devices to further monster punching monster in my opinion.
I don’t understand why these showrunners and producers don’t just give people what they wants.
For fricks sales, it’s called Legacy of MONSTERS not “Legacy of Tiny Asian Chick with Daddy Issues.”

If they gave the people what they wanted, they’d make more money opening up and widening the framework of what is financially feasible.

Just saw the trailer for this. I’ll give it a try for sure. I’m a sucker for these monster movies

There is a full movie sequel to that coming out early next year.

Hearing really good things.
Kurt Russel & his son playing the older/younger version of the same character is a nice twist.
Between this show (Legendary), the upcoming TOHO movie 'Minus 1', and Godzilla x Kong (more Legendary) next April, this is truly a golden era.
That'll be set in the future, past the events of Godzilla vs Kong.
This is a 10(?) part series which deals with 2014 Godzilla aftermath in San Francisco with flashbacks to the early days of Monarch. Looks to be some trips to the *50's and the 70's era on Skull Island.
Edit
*Monarch — set in the dual timelines of 1950s and 2010s — picks up primarily after the battle between Godzilla and the Titans that leveled San Francisco.

Signed up for Apple+ specifically for this one. Bring it.
