Landry is a corrupt POS just like 99% of all Louisiana politicians. Nothing will change. The injury attorneys will continue to run the state
You are correct. I first thought Jeff would be an excellent governor and support tort reform. But once I read all the trial attorneys have supported him I knew there is no way anything will change. The trial lawyers own him

The constitutional carry thing has me so torn.
First. I am very pro 2A and think people should be able to carry.
Second. Being at the range a lot and seeing some of those people shooting the qualification and completely MISSING that huge target at 3 yds is very scary.
That said I still think my pro 2A feelings trump that scary shite ??

"Appointees in.......will be changed". Matthew Block, trial lawyer, whose dad was president of the Trial Lawyers arse. for years, was JBE's gate keeper for most of both terms. To get to JBE, one had to go through Block. And nothing was ever "free'. That he's gone, alone, will be good for the State. His positions on abortions, lock downs, books in libraries, guns, will be a change. Forget any form of legal reforms. Not sure of his stance regarding re plaintiff atty suits against oil companies for perceived wetland damages.

That is the problem. Even when they miss those shots are going to hit something or someone.

I hope he tells DeStroya she has done enough damage to New Orleans and steps in to clean it up. New Orleans was a great city, now... not so much.

Unless he crawfishes, should get constitutional carry.
I don’t think he crawfishes on that. He’d have to actively veto a bill that will pass with a large majority.
Question is what does he do after that. CC is low hanging fruit for a Governor who ran as a conservative and has a large social conservative majority legislature. Once that’s done, the real work has to begin. The kind of stuff Landry never wanted to discuss while on the campaign trail.

Don't set your hopes too high or you're sure to be disappointed

What can he do about this? Wouldn't that be the job of the insurance commissioner?

His positions on abortions
You mean we'll go from a law with very few exceptions for abortion to even fewer exceptions?

Granny still has a right to at least shoot in the direction of someone breaking into our house. Have you watched videos of criminals shooting at each other? They're not trying for 3 MOA shot groups.
Constitutional carry for everyone. It's far less dangerous than having a smart phone in every car for the driver to jam their nose into.
