I’ve been trying to find a used MK3 arcade with no luck… but I found one from Arcade 1Up with a bunch of games (incl. MK1-4 and a few other games)

Arcade 1Up also makes several other version, like a PAC-man bundle and such…

I’m wondering if anyone has one, is so, how is it?

Additionally, are you able to “add” more games to, presumably, a HDD? Like, buy the MK bundle machine and add Pac-Man and other games afterwards?

I found a website that seems to help with what I’m trying to but it gets into shite with Raspberry Pi and that’s above my pay grade.

Let me know. Thanks.

It's a full size arcade game and made for modding.

I have the NBA Jam Arcade 1Up. When I put it together (easy btw) I first thought it was way too small (17 inch screen). But its really perfect. You can play a 4 player game and it can get pretty tight, but doable. A 2 player game like MK won't be an issue at all. You won't regret it. BTW, there are youtube vids of people converting the Arcade 1Up versions to have the ability to mod/add games.

I've been trying to decide if I want to attempt to build a cabinet or buy something like the Arcade1up and mod it. Problem with the Arcade1Up is I would like a bigger screen and also can't seem to find a version that is 4 player and has the 6 button configuration.

i have my own PC with BigBox and games

Find an old busted arcade and restore it. I bought an old NFL Blitz 2000 cab that was meant for 4 player. Had a working monitor, no control panel, no game board. Basically was a shell with a screen. I built my own control panel and redid the entire cab into a TMNT 4 player. It's sturdy as hell and I saved a bunch of time/money on building a frame. Eventually I want to replace the monitor with something better. It's got a weird resolution that causes some issues with running a PC through it. I got to use the joysticks/buttons and switches I wanted on everything that way too.

Ive got a hand me down pacman 1up table. I took it apart once to see the innards and how easy it would be to mod. It did not look straightforward. Non standard components, etc. Havent looked online for others attempting the same. If you like the game selection it works pretty well though.

:cracks knuckles:

i have owned 4 1up cabinets. I hate the shitty 17" monitors they use. I swapped one out to a Dell 2001FP that I found on craigslist for like $25 and it made a HUGE difference.

however i don't care for their products although the newer ones (not the MK cabinet) are android-based and can be modded to support more games easier than the old school way of drilling out holes & buying joysticks and buttons on ebay.

having said all of that, the 1up looks like a little toy cabinet without a base. even with a base, i'm 6'1" and it was still too low for me so I just used a couple of $10 LACK IKEA tables instead and thats a pretty good height.

TL;DR - atgames legend runs laps around the 1up; large monitor; ability to 'upgrade' games by plugging into the built-in USB and putting coinopsX on a USB drive and its already a full size height.

same goes for pinball; the 1up pinball tables are tiny compared to the legends pinball and the new legends 4K pinball with zen FX3 tables, solenoids, larger screen "spatial audio" option and dedicated DMD is going to kill the market.

in short, atgames has its flaws but its a million times better if you just one an all-in-one unit instead of buying a new cabinet for each new game you want.

I know you can connect a PC to the pinball table and feed the backglass and table screens independently
