Grissom the new LFer. Use money for pitching. No way he’s as bad as ER in the field and his bat will provide much more value.

I'll be shocked if they don't give Vaughn some time in LF this spring, I'll also be shocked if that is their Plan A for the position.

I still think he's the #1 chip in a trade, whether for a new LF'er or ab established starter.

I’d be very disappointed.

I don't think he has enough value to be the main piece in a trade.
He's a contact hitter, with the possibility of power, who hasn't shown he can play a position yet. Plus, his MLB contract clock has already started.

I wouldn't go that far yet.

Okay that's fair.
I still can see him in a package for what I expressed above.

He almost doesn't hit for Enough power to be a corner OF'er

Agreed.
Hard pass.

We’re adding Ohtani, obviously.

He can hit just as many as ER given some more at bats to adjust to MLB pitching and even if he doesn’t, his salary is still a much better value than ER’s.

Again, if Vaughn is our Plan A for LF a year after making Arcia our Plan A for SS, then we're not serious about winning in the postseason.
I love Vaughn, and I would've been happy if in 2018, 2019 or even 21 if we stuck him in LF to see if he figured it out.
But we're right in the middle of our window and are coming off of two embarrassing NLDS exits. Now is not the time for projects. Go get an established OF bat and if Vaughn ends up beating him out, so be it, but he can't be our first option there.

Brenton Doyle beats out Michael Harris for the NL GG in center.

I honestly have no idea who Doyle is

CF'er for the Rockies.
