I've had the pleasure of meeting Shaq a few times as well and every. single. time. he is the nicest dude imaginable.

Good to hear. That's how I imagined Shaq to be.

As a kid, I found my way to Bob Hope's dressing room when he performed at Auburn. When he came out, I asked him for an autograph. He refused. I guess he saw how disappointed I was because he asked me and my friend to walk with him to where he was to wait to be introduced. We stood there for about five minutes, told us how nervous he was, and ran several jokes by us, "to see if they were any good." So we basically got a personal five-minute show. Would have lost the autograph anyway.

I haven't met Shaq myself but I have several friends who have, he lives about 35 minutes from me, and they all say to a man that he is a super guy.

Every story I’ve heard about meeting him makes him sound like one of the chillest dudes around.

Slightly unrelated but saw him DJ at Bonnaroo this year and he kept threatening to jump off the stage and start a mosh pit if he didn’t see one getting started

I met Shaq when he was a freshman and I was in middle school. Even then he had a personality that was magnetic.
