Everyone on a legitimate contract will probably get on the court if they're healthy enough to. Those camp contract guys may not all get on the court though.

All starters will play game 1, about 20% of the game, per Willie

All of those guys will be under 20 minutes. We will try to ramp them up (minutes-wise during the remaining three preseason games). I don’t know if we’ll get to 30 minutes or not (by the Oct. 17 exhibition finale). We’ll read it and see how guys feel. We’ve got three games in five days, so we’ve got to be aware of that, but we’ll definitely try to get them going.”

Tbh I wouldn’t risk Ingram or Zion past game 1

They get injured enough as is. Zion once missed 3 and a half months due to an injury in the last preseason game.

Why even chance it?

Put Zion in a glass case.

Players need reps. We barely even played our best players and can't afford to start the season off slow.

Our players need reps in regular season and playoff games.

Ingram and Zion are both walking injuries. There is no way I’m risking their health by playing too much in the preseason.

That’s how the season ends before it even begins.

We really should be doing everything in our power to have these 2 healthy for significant games. Playing in 4 or 5 preseason games isn’t the route to that.

I've never understood this logic. You can't scheme out injuries. Load management does not work. Players have to play.

You can’t go through life scared of everything. Everyone else in the league is capable of playing preseason games and not having a season ending injury.
Ole fat arse and string bean needs to play together. They been here for 4 years and have barely played together. Any chance you get to have them play together you take it.

I also don’t understand the logic of playing injury prone players in every preseason game. Especially when those 2 players health will make or break our season.

Y’all really want our season to be over before opening night? That’s already been the case 2 out of the last 4 seasons. I would think that we have all had enough of that at this point.

Don't be a pussy. They need to play together. Get chemistry.

If not playing them in the preseason guaranteed a healthy season, then I would agree with you. But it does not.

Players get injured in practice too (which is all preseason games are). Do you let them practice? They also get hurt in car accidents, cooking at home, and walking up the stairs. Are all those next?

I'm in no matter who plays. They get hurt, they get hurt.

Sure. But what can you do? There is no evidence that supports not playing now will prevent them from getting hurt when they play later.

If you split the nfl preseason in half:

1) End of bench, practice squad and cuts would be more comparable to summer league

2) NFL starter reps is more comparable to nba pre season (these games)

I don't know about you, but I would feel a whole lot better if one of our star players gets a season ending injury in the 1st game of the year instead of a preseason game. Dude has a point.
