The likes of Lamar Jackson, RGIII have proven that this is and should be an award for BEST PLAYER in college football. Not the best team with best record. All the talking heads better start taking note.

Honestly if you watch the games of the other contenders, JD is top 3. They CONSTANTLY shill for Bowers on every Georgia game and while he’s awesome, he doesn’t have the impact JD does…he’s just a great, beefy WR masquerading as a TE.

They pick their narratives and then are reluctant to adapt.

ETA: The Bowers level of hype reminds me of Chase Young (although admittedly Bowers produces far more)

Because LSU has 2 losses is what people keep saying. Which is stupid. Heisman shouldn’t have a W-L requirement. Pat Mahommes threw for 5k in 12 games and wasn’t mentioned at all.

LSU wins out and wins the SEC Championship game and he will be invited to NYC.

If it's going to a QB it should because honestly that's the only stat that matters for a QB. Brady is regarded as the GOAT because of winning games. Not because of his stats

It’s not time yet. If he’s able to beat Texas A&M and Bama then let’s talk.

I don’t think Florida is going to be an easy win.

Dan Marino is considered one of the greatest QBs ever, but only won 60% of his games and no Super Bowls. Everything exists in context.

The Heisman doesn't go to the 2nd best or the 3rd best. It goes to the best. No one will argue that Marino was better than Brady because of Bradys record.

There is mandated parity in the nfl. College game is completely different. There are haves and have nots. Syracuse could have Tom Brady and not beat Alabama.

Brady leads the NFL in passing yards and TD’s.

I understand the point you’re trying to make, but the stats don’t back your argument.

Which is really dumb and a media creation.

Football has 22 starters. 11 on offense and 11 on defense. Pretty difficult for 1 of the 11 on offense to improve the outcome of the 11 on defense.

LSU’s offense is simply amazing. The defense sucks. Nothing Daniels can do to improve the defense so LSU wins more games.

Are you really asking me or are you trolling me? Because it’s a pretty obvious answer if you’ve paid attention to CFB the last several decades. I’ll give you a hint. It comes after the hyphen.

Meh, Tebow, RG III, and Lamar each won the Heisman with 3 losses.

He’s currently 7th best in odds sitting at +3000. The other 6 guys, all QBs, are on a team that’s undefeated & in the top 10.

Jayden will get his chance if we keep winning & it will get real loud if he has a heisman game in Tuscaloosa

2 losses and out of title talk. We beat Ole Miss he’d be getting more love.

He’s still in it but that’s why he’s not getting the love IMO.

Are you talking total for his career? Because that's just because he played until he was a senior citizen.

Burrow is kind of the same boat. He doesn't always have the stats of Herbert, Allen, and Mahomes. But he turned a winless team into a superbowl contender so he's regarded on their level
