I don't understand why people get so upset that Swift is a global pop star. I mean, her music isn't for me, but it doesn't make me angry that people love her.
Its not really her herself I have a problem with.

It’s her fans, the price of her concerts and merchandise. Her fans are some of the worst I’ve ever witnessed. 100,000 people sat outside of a stadium where she was performing.

I can’t wait until one city grows some fricking balls and actually enforces the crowd limits they set outside of their stadiums by sending in riot control

Are you scared of a bunch of teenage and 20 something white girls rioting or something?

Why do you care? No one is forcing you to be a fan, attend her concert, or purchase her merchandise.

I'm not a fan, but I have no problem with someone who is. And it that is what they choose to spend their money on it's not my place to tell them they are wrong. I suspect many of her fans might think I'm "dumb" for spending what I do on football and basketball tickets.

If her fans doing so are causing traffic issues, property damage, etc, etc, then I understand shutting them down. If not, would you share the same opinion about folks to go out to college campuses "just to tailgate" and not even attend the game? It's no different.

As for "spotlighting" her during the games, why wouldn't the NFL do so? She's one of the most famous celebrities in at least the US, maybe the world, right now. If you can associate her with your brand and potentially bring her fans to your brand as new customers then the NFL would be crazy not to do so. That's potentially an emerging market for them. Case in point, someone in this thread said pepole were buying tickets to the Jets game simply because she was there.
