None of these demands are unreasonable. What is unreasonable is that people will reduce their tips if the meal prices go up. They should demand mandatory tips (15% minimum).

Tips are dependent upon service quality.
You separate that from receiving a tip and you get shite service.
Witness any Mexican restaurant on Cinco De Mayo when there is a mandatory tip or in places like Biloxi where they had forced a mandatory tip on checks to keep people from leaving for casino jobs.
In those cases, I got some of the worst service of my life simply because they didn’t have to care, they got paid anyway.
You separate that from receiving a tip and you get shite service.

Why was my post funny?
$25 an hour is basically a living wage at this point.
You are scraping by at $25 per hour. They won't get it, but $20 an hour would be a good start towards an actual living wage.
I don't say these are "starter jobs." They aren't for a lot of the workers.

Nothing is going up to $40. Labor is only a small percentage of the costs.

Keep bumping wages and it will be higher, and workers will lose what they thought were gains.
Would you pay $250 for services that every other person is paying $100 for? You wouldn't.
FF and diners were never paying a living wage. Those were teenage/college jobs. Why do you expect them to do it now?

I'm not for money printing. There's plenty of money being hoarded by Wall Street and the rich. The gap between those who actually work for a living and the wealthy has grown too large (and no, I'm not a communist or socialist).

Some posters here don't seem to get the idea of asking for higher than you think is fair. I hope to one day buy a house or a car from one of them.

I read on the Waffle House franchise information site that revenue of a waffle house is $650,000 to $800,000 annually. At $650,000 that is daily sales of $1780
Three workers X 24 Hours a day X $25 an hour is $1800 a day in wages.
Do these workers want Waffle House to close locations, reduce jobs, or raise prices. I'm not sure, but Im guessing Waffle House sales would go down with any significant increase in price.

With inflation as bad as it is, hoarding cash is the wrong way to make money these days. As more gets printed, the less each one you have is worth.
