Guess you’ve never driven a RZR Turbo

I had a turbo yxz on 12psi...which will shite all over a rzr turbo.

The surge of torque is... A lot.

Honestly most people haven't since they are priced so high and more of a dune sxs. Have you driven a pro R?

Yes. And yes. The proR with it's 2.0l is something quite different. Much like ehen the YXZ first came out, it is more a sandrail than a sidebyside. It is limited to 95 or so. And it is terrifying at that speed.

Gilomen? Clutched too? I honestly want to know Because I'm looking into it for mine. My XP tops out at 62.

My gilomen tuned clutched ranger crew on 32in rockabillies had a faster top speed than my stock rzr before adding the windshield to it. It was a little sketchy.

It's a great mod. But... I've never been driving 60 on a ranger and thought... I sure wish i could go faster.

It sucks because I'm a motor head guy but that's absolutely untrue just by theory. The instantaneous torque from electric motors is un-comparable.

Maximum acceleration is about horsepower and gearing, not instantaneous torque. Mack trucks make 2500ft-lbs of torque and even without a load are still slow. Weight and aerodynamics also factors in.

What tune are you running? Gilomen? Clutched too?

Bingo. Using their Torque Monster kit. Peg the throttle and you get near instantaneous 7500rpm.

Ok so when you said the new EV Ranger Kinetic is the fastest thing ever, you meant that it isn’t, but that it is zippy?

Quickest? Does that help?

Pettiness is for the OT.

It is the hardest accelerating.

Also... A gilomen tuned ranger isn't making 140 ft lbs of torque.

0-50 run on kinetic

A stock pro r makes 85 more hp and 10 more ft lbs of torque. And weighs probably 5-600lbs more.

But, like every side by side over 100 hp, will require a lot of feathering of the throttle to actually get the power down on dirt. Traction is the limiting factor.

The kinetic actually does a little of that for you.

To make squirrelmaster feel better, it is the quickest accelerating stock side by side to 40ish mph I've ever driven on dirt. It is quicker than a tuned ranger, rzr, defender, general, and Rmax.

I’ll just save my money and keep using a Honda foreman 500 and when I want to sneak up on wildlife, I’ll walk

Just like I’ll keep running my 1996 2 stroke mercury xr6 150 on my boat until it completely dies. Everything today is overpriced and built like absolute shite

I got on a new John Deere 5060E the other day and was like this is a cheap piece of shite with no power whatsoever. Sorry excuse for a tractor. Give me a restored Farmall 806 over that any day

Rant over, get off my lawn

Meh, few months ago I used an XP to tow 1500lbs of lumber down trails that a truck can’t go. My 25 year old fourwheeler can’t do that and I just wouldn’t try. I’d need to pay for about $10K in dozer work to get a truck back there.

We were talking about it at the camp last night, these new machines are more capable than they’ve ever been, so we ask them to do more, and they break sometimes. You can still get a moderately powered fourwheeler for not that much that will get you from point a to point b, it is what it is.

I'm an old retired dude, live on 400 acres in SW MS and I despise EV automobiles, think theyre the bullshite result of the biggest hoax in the history of the world. But I love an electric SxS and bought my first in 2005, one of the old style bad boys and it did fine for years. Then in 2015 I bought a Bad Boy Recoil IS Club and its still clicking fine, on its second set of batteries. Can't tell you how much wildlife I've riden up on that I would not have seen with a gas engine. As a $ data point, I paid $13k in 2015 for it and it had a roof;-) The Leftist inflation is criminal.

Is there a report after this season? Did it make it or stay in the shop? Any notable problems?
