Woo Hoo! I've been downgraded to "Moderate Drought"!
Will be interesting to see what this Thursday's drought monitor shows after this rain. Though with a lot more rain expected after that it should be even better on Feb 1.

Next week's map for Wilkinson should look a little different. They had 9" in some areas yesterday.

was in the extreme 2 weeks ago. Severe last week and probably will be in none this week.
It rained all day on Sat and some on Sunday.

We’ve gone from drought to flooding conditions over the past few weeks in central Mississippi. Nearly 5” in less than 48 hours this weekend.

I pulled some cameras this weekend, whole plot was under water in South Arkansas.

I think we can safely say we are out of drought conditions now.
The last I checked the drought monitor there was just some "abnormally dry" conditions in around the Leesville area. I don't think this week's report will reflect the rains over the last two days.
Now we just wait for the next two years to see what damage last year's drought did to standing timber.

We have baseball every weekend in April. Plan on going mow down the plots in May, hang up a few ladders to make it easier to bow hunt with my lock on.

Did anyone else have/notice smaller weights on the deer you harvested this year? Across the board (does and bucks) we noticed the deer weighed a good 10 pounds less than normal.
We also noticed many of the does struggling with their weight after having their fawns.
