The Stones look like they've had some hard miles on their road.

100% correct
It's not music.
It's not music.

So much of what makes music “music” is absent in “rap“.

You can say that again

It does have rhythm and some basic harmonic chord structure.
So, barely music.
Lowest common denominator level music.

It's bass with a lot of incoherent mumbling.
The words that are decipherable are all about shaking asses, tapping asses, shooting up people, and being at the club.

Well, rap is near the bottom of my list. It's a tie with Disco.

An 80 year-old hates rap music, stop the presses
I’m not the biggest fan myself, but calling it “not music” is just inaccurate. It’s not music I often like, but it is music, and it does actually take a lot of talent to compose and perform. If you don’t believe me, try it yourself.
On the flip-side, being an EDM DJ is the easiest job in the world, and I know this from conversations with actual touring EDM DJ’s. It’s a joke, they all know it, and they can’t believe it either.

There is a difference between some 80 year old, and any of the surviving Stones opinions when it comes to music.
Ask the same person about their opinion of Jazz, and I guarantee it will be much more respected than rap.
Because Jazz deserves that respect. Rap does not.

I hope the people on their home planet really really appreciate these blokes!

Bad poetry spoken to a rhythm.
It’s basically just black beat poetry.

Well, he’s old enough to fondly remember jazz in the twilight of its hayday. Being a jazz fan in the late 60’s is very similar to being a rock n roll fan in the 2020’s. In both cases, you have an older fanbase and critic class that utterly rejects the newer upstart (with almost the exact same arguments) while popular culture continues to embrace the new.
Rock, today, is increasingly being relegated to the fringes of popular culture, becoming a niche genre like Jazz was to the British Invasion rockers, and just like back then with jazz fusion artists like Chicago, Myles Davis, and Weather Report, the fusion folks survived while those who stuck to their roots became niche. I hate it, but that does seem to be the trajectory of societal tastes.

Rap started about the time that cocaine and later crack hit the music scene. If you ever knew a speed freak, you know they just can't shut up unless they are coming down and think the world is out to get them.
Seeing these pictures reminds me of the quip, "if you remember the 60's you weren't there."

Its adult themed nursery rhymes for the most part. That’s not a shot at nursery rhymes. Nursery rhymes are great for helping children who are just learning to develop their brain function.

Unlike poetic genius like “Start Me Up” and “Satisfaction”. Get outta here with these clown takes
