Why is Zelenskyy appealing to Trump when he is not in office and has no power. It clearly implied by Trump's stated Ukraine/Russia peace plan that he has to be president to make it work. So why is Zelenskyy appealing to Trump and not Biden?

It’s essentially a frick off to Trump. Trump is making the claim he would end it day 1 and everyone knows that’s total bullshite.

Trump should ask Zalensky, "Why don't you stand up and explain how you have obliterated Democracy in your own country? Explain why you canceled elections, banned churches, and banned political opposition parties and opposition voices. By God, it sounds like the same path the Democrats are leading us in this country! Did they give you their playbook?"

This is a lie.
Trump claim that he can end the Ukraine/Russia war in 24 hours after becoming president is a campaign promise. Promises can be broken but Trump has not had the chance to fulfill the promise so it is logically impossible to be a lie at this point.
But your claim that this is a lie at this point is a lie in of itself because it is a claim that cannot be proven false, yet.

Logically everyone is assuming Trump's peace plan involves giving up the Ukrainian states (or part of them) of Kherson, Zaporizhzhia, Donetsk and Luhansk.

Because Trump opened his mouth and said he could end the war in 24 hours. Which is fine… but you need to explain yourself. If he has a better way out that can end the death and destruction why keep it to yourself as he has chosen to do?
Biden is providing support to keep the country Ukrainian and slowly push the Russians out. He’s been clear about that. Biden doesn’t need to explain himself here as he has a record that can be reviewed.

Good point.
That's what I get when I assume that deep state will treat Trump like they treat everyone else. I forgot about the double standard.
