He’s a top 5 NFL draft pick if he’s played correctly .

if played correct he’s a positionlesss player.

people just want him to pass rush and spy.

well what does he do when teams run the ball?

top 5 players have to be every down players.

He’s overrated. Unpopular opinion. Undersized and over rated. Facts.

I mean this from the very bottom of my heart, u sir are a fricking idiot.

U may want to revisit the Gump game last year where he was running down the Heisman winner like he was in concrete cleats, or maybe when he basically single handedly beat Ar-Kansas.

Perkins closing speed is unmatched There was one play when the score was 14-7 and Gambling broke off a 30+ yard run. When Perkins finally entered the picture he closed on him like a cheetah.

Watch that play. It was 3rd & 15 and I assume that we were expecting a pass. Grambling ran a draw play instead. At the snap, both Perkins and Maeson ran into the backfield from the left side of the D as the runner rushed right up the middle and got by them. About 35 yards down field, you see Perkins hauling arse from behind and makes the tackle at full speed. Really great play, after getting passed up in the backfield.

Remember when TM7 didn’t have a true position so we made one up for him? That was good

I actually liked his usage versus grambling in the plays I watched him. Instead of being MLB he was either outside linebacker or nickel. He did better in coverage than in previous games and broke a few passes up, barely missed on another.

Then he was a rusher in obvious passing 3rd downs. He didn’t do anything spectacular there but did get some pressure.

A few others mentioned it but he hustled and ran guys down multiple times even though he didn’t make the initial play in the backfield.

what?

TM7 had a position. and he could play every DB position. he could do everything we asked him to do as a DB. When we had 2 CBs he played Cb, when we had 3 we played nickel. We blitzed him a lot but that wasn’t some invention. and then 1 game he played safety straight up.

That’s a very different situation to Perkins, who is only ok in coverage and he’s not terrible against the run but he’s also not a DE/Jack when teams decide to run. he doesn’t have the mass.

The best thing that could happen to this Defense right is to lock both of the Weeks brothers in at MLB and let them take over the position.

Keep Perkins out on the Edge where he belongs. (Frick all that "Improve his NFL draft stock" BS)......

LSU does nothing to free him up for direct runs at the QB.
No tandem blitzes, or rubs off his dlinemen, no dip under blocks, no spins off blocks, nothing....just straight ahead into a blocker than the entire offense can spot pre snap. Infuriating to watch House pretend he is a DC.
