Does Jackson or Diggs remind you of anyone from the past?

I'm a fairly young fan and don't know a lot of the older running backs. So, do any past RBs that Jackson or Diggs remind you of?

Not LSU related, but Diggs reminds me a lot of Kenyan Drake, similar build and skill set. Jackson reminds me of michael ford. Stocky build with a lot of speed.

Not really. At this point, neither one has done anything special to warrant comparison to great LSU backs in the past. Posting good numbers against Grambling isn't enough to move the needle.

Hopefully they keep improving, but at this point, we don't know who will be at the top of the depth chart by the time the meat of the schedule comes up.

Logan Diggs will. You can tell he’s a step above the other backs we have.

There’s about a 30 LB weight difference with Scott and Diggs haha

One thing they did show me was better vision and the ability to cut to daylight. We were missing that against FL St. This weekend will tell us a lot about where we are.

Jackson kinda reminds me of a Keiland Williams type back. Big powerful back with dynamic cutting ability

At the same time, there was a whole lot less daylight to run to vs. FSU.

That’s why it’s hard for me to anoint them RB1/2 without seeing more. Your best back against an inferior front 7 might not be your best back against better competition. I agree that this weekend should tell us a lot.

My fear is that the room is so crowded it becomes tough to get anyone in a rhythm if/when we get Emery & Goodwin back. By the time you get everyone enough touches to really know the pecking order it’ll be November.

Guice/Fournette, Diggs has the moves and wiggle Guice had and Jackson the speed and power of Lenny

physically and stylistically i think that diggs is a good mix of faulk and hill. hope he can pull off a quarter of what those dudes did for us.

jackson reminds me a lot of keiland williams before he put on weight and lost a step.

Yep, I remember thinking he looks like Alley when he gashing and finishing with power. I always feel bad that Alley couldn't get out of his own way.

My oldest went to elementary school with him. She said even back then everyone knew he was gonna be a great athlete but that despite all that he was still a really nice friendly guy.

I like Williams as much as any of them. He runs hard and cuts well. I remember the bama game last year on a 3rd down run late in the game. I think those 3 mentioned are a cut above the rest.

They are almost polar opposites.
We havent had many 200 lb running backs with a little wiggle. Maybe a Guice comparison is somewhat accurate?

Diggs reminds me of Jeremy Hill when he played here. Loved watching him run the ball

Fournette
come on now. If we had a Leonard fournette on this team you would know, and teams would be in trouble. He was a generational talent. Even Guice was a beast and we don’t have one of him either
