With a high of 93 today, Baton Rouge has finally ended its record-shattering run of 59 straight days at/above 95 degrees.

However, our run of days at/above 90 now sits at 94 straight, besting the previous record of 79 straight in 1924. #LAwx

For Baton Rouge …
Add another oddball record to the current stats: Sep 8 makes it 74 straight days without a day when the MaxTemp was below normal.

Next longest such run? 48 days in 1960.

In DFW today it was 109°. Until today, the record high for this date was 100°. Four months of 100°+ every day with only a few exceptions. Ugh. So ready for fall weather.

Up next is the dust bowl of the 30’s, it’s almost like it’s cyclical

What year did they start getting the temperature from the hottest part of the cities? You know when they started getting it from the airports

It's been really hot.
I have found some benefits.
The freekin mosquitoes were depleted from heat and lack of excessive moisture.
After a 10° temp drop and 3 rainy days and they are brutal again

That's cute. We had 54 above 100 and 27 above 105. We will only be 98 tomorrow.

And kids, that’s what happened to all the crawfish. Any questions?
