Gotta start getting these guys reps in games.
I think we know what we have in Ryan, Alexander, Chestnut.

Alexander and Chestnut have played 1 game at LSU. I thought Alexander played well. Chestnut was obviously picked on by Coleman and Travis. Those are two tough matchups for a smaller corner.
That said, I agree that we need Harris to play. I’ve been disappointed that Welch hasn’t seemed to be able to work his way up the depth chart with the state of our DB room

Yall overreact so much. They've played 1 game and they were just Mossed by better receivers all night and a QB willing to throw the jump ball. They won't face that level of passing attack again. It was baptism by fire

With a zero sack pass rush certainly didn't help.

If we could find someone on the outside, I feel he's better suited for slot corner

Our best pass rusher was spying.

I do want to see Toviano get some much needed playing time too. Whether that be at Nickle, safety, or Corner.

There is no fricking way the some of the freshmen DBs we have are worse than the DBs we put on the field against FSU

Maybe I need to watch the game again, but I thought Alexander played terrible. The first td he gave up was so bad, and he’s not physical.
Again have a video showing good plays Alexander made?

Agreed. If you put any stock in the PFF grades that come out Alexander did not play well. Sam actually had a decent grade. Regardless, I’d like to see Welch and Toviano out there some. Harris has to play next week as well unless he’s incarcerated.

What touchdown? Alexander didn’t give up a TD. Coleman’s TDs were on Chestnut and Burns.

The first touchdown, Alexander is playing way off Coleman, Coleman catches the ball about 10 yards down the field but Alexander is playing so deep and is so slow to react that he’s over 5 yards away when Coleman makes the catch. Alexander then makes one of the softest most pathetic attempts at tackling that you’ll see and basically whiffs.
Very first highlight, Alexander is #24
Coleman touchdowns

Who was the safety on that particular play (I couldn’t pick up the number)?
The safety tackle attempt may have been worse than the CB tackle attempt.

Almost positive that’s Major Burns, and yes his whiff is worse than Alexander’s.

Man to man corners trying to learn to play zone.
I hate a zone defense as the primary scheme but it can be effective if the pressure is there from front “7” which clearly didn’t happen enough last Sunday.
Miss the days when Tiger corners showcased some of the best man skills in the country. This zone shite ain’t it.

Yea Alexander wasn’t great. He got burned and missed a tackle on that Coleman first rd and got spun around when lined up with Wilson in the slot. He didn’t get picked on more because chestnut was such a massive mismatch not because he played well

That’s false Coleman’s first td he best Alexander and broke a tackle from him
