Should have gotten Garrett Riley. Am I right??

From his comment that was essentially “I’m not running the Garrett Riley offense, I’m tweaking the Clemson offense,” it sounds like we might still be able to if we wanted.

6 points doesn't win us the game, the play calling on those 4th downs was atrocious tho

You never know what it does to be a TD down to another team...maybe tighten em up...

putting pressure and denying the emotional high of a stop is not to be dismissed.

We take the points on those two possessions instead of going for it, we go in at half leading 23-14 and it’s quite possibly a different game.

So you’d hire two coaches that are currently coaching to have us hire them after they are fired??

From a reliable source Denbrock does not consider any of Davis’ ideas on offense therefore leaving him without any input.

Joe Brady ain’t shite without Burrow, Chase, and Jefferson.

How about Nuss, Jalen Brown, Hilton, Sampson, Anderson, Pimpton, and Kaleb Jackson

That should be lethal.

You do remember who we won the other national championships and who the quarterbacks were they weren’t joe borrow it was Matt Flynn and Matt mauk we don’t need a joe borrow or the great jamar chase and j Jefferson it’s about having a game manager who can get the ball out consistently. We had a pro spread that worked when we went to the national championship all 3 times that was the system we ran

What is our conversion rate on 4th down the last 2 years? Can't be good.

It makes how bad he coaches feel worse knowing that that’s how he got the job.

Not sure what plays you call for a 5th year QB who won't/cant pass the ball down the field, won't throw down the middle, and can't make the right read on run plays...

Denbrock can go eitherway.

I doubt it, our D only giving up 14 at the half was a mirage. They were getting worked and it was only a matter of time until the dam broke.

I would settle for being able to get 3 yards on three running plays in a heavy set.

This was a talent issue. Our backs suck.

The fact that LSU must not be able to go under center is a major concern. Short yardage is much more difficult when you are in pistol or shotgun.

At that level, to NEVER go under center is ridiculous.

Although I agree, it's our defense that's taken steps way back from the Ed O era. That hurts to say I was never an Ed fan, but his defenses were better than this.

And then going for it on 4th all those times?

9-of-10 times on that first drive of the freaking season I would say go for on the 4th & goal, however this was the 1-of-10 I was absolutely against even before the play. We had lost all momentum once we got down there. We had what 6 plays with goal to go and didn't do jack, at that point I had lost confidence in our ability to get a yard in goal line. Then to top it off we run the RPO again out of the shotgun which was already stopped previously. For short yardage situations it is not efficient to have your RB have to not only cross the QB/C with his shoulders not square to the line when running up the middle, but also that slight hesitation & uncertainty of not knowing for sure you're getting the ball is not conducive to the short yardage game with the defense being stacked across the line like that.

The second 4th down, due to the previous 4th failure I wanted to kick the FG and try for the points. At that point it was close game and my thinking was it was going to stay close and we might need a late FG to tie/win so let my kicker go and make a FG now to keep building him up for the real pressure kick.

I'm not a big fan of Denbrock and the hire didn't move the needle for me, but man we were just bad on offense. Large part playcalling but the execution was horrible from Jayden missing throws & not seeing open WRs, WRs not catching the balls, o-line not blocking well, and RBs averaging like 1.5ypc it's going to be hard to beat a top 20 ranked team. This game also showed the glaring hole we have at RB, we knew it would be by committee and it still could be, but man I can only hope Emery comes back and is in shape with his head on right. If we had a good RB like in past years (Fournette, Guice, Charles Scott, Jeremy Hill, Clyde) it would allow us to do a few more things offensively
