People on this site will shite on it while they have never been to the town once. These are also the same jackasses that defend BR and NOLA like they are the best places on earth. My suggestion: ask elsewhere or visit it yourself so you can form your own honest opinion on it.

I lived in Rosepine for three years, 8th through 10th grade, and I loved it there. This was early 80’s, though, so I can’t really comment on how it is there now. Worst thing was the mere existence of Ft. Polk nearby.

I don't see many defenders of BR or NOLA. What they will do is dog cuss those places while simultaneously looking down their nose at anywhere else in Louisiana.
It's hilarious they think the world revolves around SELA. Meanwhile nobody in the rest of the state cares about NOLA and the only thing in BR they care about is LSU.
