I really like what CBK has done with the number tradition now. #18 was always reserved for the team leader role. #7 seemed to go always to your best player/playmaker on the team. Switching it to "best player from the state of Louisiana" is a huge motivational tool not only for current players but future recruiting, whether or not people would like to admit. I think that change alone will change the perspective of the #7 after its fall from grace from the last few seasons.
UPDATE: I'm aware now that O Line can't wear #7 so Campbell will keep #66 and wear a #7 patch just like Lloyd Cushenberry wore the #18 patch. Still a great tool nonetheless.

Kelly mentioned 7 going to the best player from Louisiana. If he follows thru with that, I’ll say Wingo 18 and Nabors 7.

I love Josh Williams but with his injury concerns and our depth at RB, Wingo was a great choice.
Let Nabors be #7 this year and Perkins have it next.

Campbell will keep #66. Against NCAA rules for an OL to have that number. He will have a #7 patch.
