The fuel station in the second picture is the Singer Food Store, which on the map appears to be right next to the fire station. The picture looking towards Merryville from Singer from the 27/110 intersection. The huge fire is towards Merryville.

Almost nothing there but pine forest, and I'm sure it's extremely dry.

Los Angeles got 2 inches of rain this week from that storm.

At that rate Louisiana would need 12 Tropical Storm Hilary’s to catch up to our regular rainfall levels.
