Beauregard Parish Sheriffs office reported that the Tiger Island Fire (fire around Merryville) containment has gone from 85% down to 50%. The fire has gone north and east of Merryville (away for now) but even with the winds low they keep changing making it hard to get a handle on the fire

Some nice deer leases in that area a lot of people in SWLA go up there for hunting that’s one of things that won’t get the recognition the hunting up there won’t be the same which is really sad.
