re: No matter what about (man influenced) climate change, those claiming it are always right.

There's not a single one of these climate warriors who believe in the drivel they continually spout. Not one. If they did, their aim would be massive levies and tariffs on Chinese and Indian made goods until they comply with our manufacturing standards- you know, the ones actually polluting on an industrial scale. Funny how you don't hear a single greenie or politician ever mention that. Nope, these dipshits just want to take away your Weber grill or make you drive an environmentally damaging e-car.

Counterpoint. A lot of us know drinking alcohol is gonna kill us sooner rather than later, but we still do it.
It's very easy to believe humans change the Earth's climate, yet also do nothing to prevent it.
Steak and luxury vehicles are nice to have. Why should I care if humans in 100 years have to deal with summers 2° hotter? They should invent better ACs.
It's obvious the insurance companies aren't gonna let them live anywhere that is in danger of being wiped out. People will relocate and adapt.
I personally don't believe we need 8 billion humans on earth anyway.

I know a lot will feel that this show is liberal propaganda on this site, but I found this NOVA show about weather on PBS very good as it explains all sides on what causes the weather patterns on earth.

We were supposed to die from the loss of the ozone layer in the 90's.
We were supposed to be an ice free planet in the 2000's.
They just make up stuff and repeat it enough for a lot of people to believe it.
The Montreal Protocol, finalized in 1987, is a global agreement to protect the stratospheric ozone layer by phasing out the production and consumption of ozone-depleting substances (ODS). ODS are substances that were commonly used in products such as refrigerators, air conditioners, fire extinguishers, and aerosols.

I didnt believe any of those things, you should filter your sources better rather than just saying "I heard this and it didn't happen so why do anything at all"
the intern at Sea World putting "all the glaciers are gonna melt by 2000" on a sign doesn't make it a global scientific consensus

Just want to say this is nothing new. Jimmy Carter put fckng solar panels on the WH and tried to pass all kinds of environmental legislation including requiring American made cars to achieve much higher mpg ratings. That right there is a major reason the Big 3 fell behind Japanese cars in the 80s-90s in terms of quality and reliability. Congress gave them 5 years in the late 70s to get it done so all the R&D money was spent on that and not on quality. Then there was Love Canal and the Superfund business.
Anyway, the climate change stuff has been on the table for decades. It's just that now they have social media platforms to skyscream about it and the far left has become 'normal' in the eyes of the media. In the late 60s-80s they were relegated to elitist university backrooms.

The best we can do is adapt, and that doesn't require trillions of dollars going to various governments to do that.
If people want to risk living near a coast, so be it. That being said, if someone builds on the coast and it floods, then that should be on them, not me or any other taxpayer.
Freedom + responsibility. Try it some time.

I have no doubt man has contributed to climate change.
Look at the amount of concrete and blacktop laid for streets, highways and parking lots. Then all the buildings made of steel and brick. All that acts as heat sinks.
I read an article about how all the thousands of reservoirs around the world are likely changing rainfall patterns.
I think natural weather phenomenon like the heat dome we are under,El Nino’s and El Nina’s,volcano eruptions and such are the bigger factor and nothing we can do about that.
I don’t think hurricanes are growing particularly stronger than they ever were. The impact is greater because so many people have moved to coastal areas where they probably shouldn’t be living in the first place.
Thing is we can’t go back to where we were100’s of years ago.We would have to kill off 90% of the world population, rip up all the pavement, tear down all the buildings.
All we can do is keep going and do the best we can utilizing reasonable measures to mitigate it to some degree.
I don’t mean drastic measures like requiring all vehicles have to be electric.I think solar can be beneficial,I don’t agree with covering up farmland to cover up with solar panels.Put them on the tops of buildings.Windmills are ridiculous.
If I was in charge I would mandate nuclear energy as the best solution..
Probably the problem will solve itself as fertility rates are dropping all over the world.
Either that or we’re all going to be blown up in nuclear holocausts.

If we dropped 50 nukes would you still be sitting here saying 'there's no way us tiny humans could affect the earth' s climate"?
If you ignore the effects then there are no effects.
No shite.
Some estimates say that 50 small nukes could put about 5 million tons of soot into the atmosphere, and that would cause a decade-long several degree cooling period, at least regionally. We put that much co2 into the atmosphere every single hour.
That's not to say that a ton of co2 is as potent as a ton of soot, but it is matter and it does interact with the physical world, absorbing and emitting radiation.

Yes and as the one former global warming expert shared, it is an alarmist market. Editor's make more money pushing alarmist reviews than those disproving global warming alarmist narrative.
Money, labs, titles, influence, stars of the media and global warming cult.

OP has strong opinions about things he doesn’t understand. And apparently assumes everyone who studies the issue is a moron. These are hallmarks of low intelligence. Just another day on TD.
