Enter Bucs No. 1 quarterback Baker Mayfield. On Tuesday — Tuesday! — lawyers representing Mayfield and his wife filed a petition in a Texas court requesting information about an alleged misuse of $12 million of their money by an investment firm where Mayfield’s family members work, per the report from NBC affiliate KXAN in Austin.
quote:
“Petitioners simply do not know if their money has been properly and competently invested, has been stolen or otherwise misappropriated, or something in between,” the document stated.

Blows my mind rich athletes can't figure out to just invest in VTSAX and chill. They'd be set for life without having to think about it.

If he’s ‘made’ $48 mil that’s realistically what about $25-30 after taxes? This doesn’t include endorsements right? So he has made probably $50 mil or more? But realistically this is a legit 25% or more of his networth probably? All spent by his dad and brother to float their shitty business as a pyramid scheme? Wow
