I wish you are right, but right now I believe he is A&M bound. It is what it is!

Unfortunately what appears to be happening with Ivy and Simmons is going to happen often. Kids are either going to leverage interest to get a better offer or teams with more resources are going to make 11th hour offers to tip the scale.

LSU getting Ivory would be like if Emory Jones would’ve gone to A&M

His school/coaches/friends/town are all Aggie
Quit blaming NIL on every recruitment

But, let the board tell it we got 3 potential all Americans on the Oline in this class. Lol

No one is worried about the OL you crybaby. We’re good. Pick something else to cry about

I’m not suggesting they need to be ready to start as freshman. The last two OL classes should prevent that from being a need. However, one could argue all four guys could lean more project than college ready after one or two seasons on campus. We haven’t recruited at the same level in this OL class like we have in recent years based on Williams, Lee, and Cryer’s ranking. My real issue is DL recruiting

Good thing rankings aren’t final and you didn’t mention Calloway

Everyone in Texas wanted Williams - he’s considered by many to be the best LT prospect in the state

Going by stars when looking at OL will get you burnt

That may be true, but Ivy was a kid the staff felt good about the last month according to multiple reports. In the past he may have been one of those kids that LSU gets to commit. NIL is not a factor in every recruiting battle, but it has changed the game and that can not be overstated.

I know Ory needs development, but damn that offer sheet is ridiculous. A&M, Texas, LSU, Florida, Georgia, Tennessee, Florida State, Oregon, Auburn, Michigan State, TCU, Okie State, Baylor.

Rankings aren’t the end all be all, but they mean something. The 4 and 5 star guys tend to work out more often than 3 stars. Having said that, my main beef is not with this OL class. Yes, I’d like to land some highly ranked guys, but I’d bet at least two of these guys pan out because of BK and Brad Davis’ track record. The DL class is a major concern. Portal shopping every year on the DL is not a recipe for championships.

No doubt they’ll need to land more quality guys at DL but I wouldn’t sweat the 3 star guys at the moment. Remember, whit weeks was an 88 3 star ranked in the 470’s when he committed. He finished a 95 4 star in the top 100 in the country. These rankings will shift.

Do what?

League City is south of Houston and about 2 hours from College State. They don't have any unbreakable ties to Aggieland.

Blake Ivy commits to Texas 8&4 this morning. Hate to not get the big guy but the writing was on the wall.

Not on OL or QB
Rankings matter way less than skill positions or LB

The data backs it up

I would say DT is the 3rd position the rankings are wrong about
PFF has 7 former 3*/ 2 4*/1 5* in their top 10 college DTs
Our most productive DL is a former 3*

He was always considered a strong Aggy lean. LSU as a possibility wasn’t even mentioned until 2-3 days ago. This was faux suspense so Aggy can beat their chest over a “head to head win.”
