I think he will. The right voter base is out there for him, it’s just a matter of getting more visibility.

Landry. He could be caught with a hooker wearing a diaper and he’d still have my vote.
Would be nice if more Republicans had that attitude two elections ago. We would have a lot more thriving small businesses in Louisiana without Faghorn Leghorn targeting the middle class and the moral / ethical majority

Landry
* Wilson is JBE 3.0
* Hewitt is JBE .5
* Nelson filed a bill to pay PART TIME legislators $60,000 a year + per diem
* Waguespack fought tooth and nail to prevent vaccine bans

Anyone that doesn’t have a D next to their name.

He's got my vote. He knows how to "de-Lousiananize" the state - get rid of the stigma that's been the bane of development and education. He's fearless and won't play the usual games. He knows that if elected, he's probably a 1-termer. That's all he needs.
Based on what? His time working in Hillary Clinton’s State Department as a lawyer? Has Nelson ever held a job outside of politics?
Nelson is a classic GOP establishment moderate. He won’t bring meaningful change to the State. And what’s worse, he’s pushing a bigger government agenda, see for example, his support of the universal Pre-K boondoggle. His proposed tax reform to eliminate the income tax by also jacking up property taxes and eliminating the homestead exemption would have been worse for most Louisiana homeowners.

Where was this energy in 2015

I wouldn't call an engineering officer in the State Department a politics job? Sounds like an engineer that would like to go see the world to me. Was Landry in politics because the government pays for the national guard?
Richard seems to me to be the first Republican in a long time that will actually be fiscally responsible and reduce waste and spending at the state level. He led the charge to pay a huge chunk of pension debt in the last budget, and passed the amendment to constitutionally obligate larger payments than what's currently required.

What efforts did he make to repeal John Bel’s sales tax increase? Must have missed the bills he authored to repeal the increase given the State’s budget surpluses the past 2 years. His record in the legislature is that of a back bencher. There’s zero evidence that he has the chops to reform fundamentally the State’s flawed government.
I also don’t think he’s a strong leader who will push back aggressively against the RINOs and Democrats. In other words, Jindal 2.0.

That wasn't his bill. He actually added an amendment to tie it to 75% of MFI, which reduced that amount by a third to $39k-ish.

You know that goes up every year, right?
He probably should have just stayed out of it

It’s not a false claim at all. He is very cozy with big time trial lawyers.

But also no one authored legislation to repeal that tax.
Here's a LINK highlighting two of his legislative efforts on the past session.
Since you said you would vote for Landry, tell me about his leadership skills in addressing the crime in our state?
Is he going to fundraiser criminals into compliance? Perhaps he could "utilize the Louisiana Bureau of Investigations to harass a friend's ex" them while he's at it. Criminals beware!
