No. Hell it was cheaper than that near the end of Obama’s term.

Good God. I miss the days when 22 bullets were like $6.99 for a 500 round milk carton.

I bought a brick, just after Obama got elected for about that price alone with other stuff.

I was in a gun store last week that was absolutely loaded with ammo. Hundreds of thousands of rounds of 22 rimfire. Pallets of it. And cases of 270 and other common deer calibers.

Apparently the ammo shortage is over.

No personal experience with it, but a big gun guy I know said the M-22 runs extremely dirty YMMV

Likely because they recently received their huge shipment of ammo before the upcoming hunting seasons. Dove season starts in 3 weeks. Did you check the selling prices ? Boxes of ammo are out there, but it's priced higher than giraffe pussy so it just sits on the shelf. Plus you're limited to the number of boxes you can buy at certain stores. Remington core-lokt "green box" 270 ammo (20 rds) use to be priced from $18 to $20 per box, or $1 per round. Today it's priced around $30 to $35 per box; nearly double. I think the current prices are here to stay since retailers ain't giving anything away these days. Same can be said for other items such as milk, bread, eggs, toilet paper, tires, car batteries, chlorine bleach, etc ...

Eh .22 is pretty much all dirty anyway so a little more isn’t a huge deal.

I remember Federal 550’s for $8.88 a box not all that long ago, maybe 10-12 years ago?
